About Me
Christine completed her undergraduate and Honours degrees in South Africa, and later trained as a Counselling Psychologist in the UK.
She is passionate about her work and has strength in building rapport and a therapeutic alliance with her clients. She adopts a warm and flexible approach to therapy, considering her role to be that of a facilitator rather than an expert. She uses evidence-based research to guide her modality and invites regular reviews with her clients to ensure that sessions remain helpful and useful.
She has been able to draw on her skill sets having worked across a multitude of settings in the UK, including adolescents and adults from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, prisoners, and people with learning disabilities.
Being a partner and mum herself, she is very aware of the modern struggles in parenting and the pressures this places on the family, and enjoys working with parents to navigate through these times, and do the best they can.

Considering herself to be young at heart, she is able to quickly build rapport and gains much joy from working with adolescents, helping them navigate through the multiple demands, anxieties, stressors and conflicts that come with living in our current world.

Ultimately, Christine believes that people have the power to make meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives, and works with all adults and adolescents to help them achieve this.
